Points forts & points faibles
Points forts & points faibles
- 500 Series OCLV Carbon combines a stiff structure with low weight and makes the frame both aerodynamic and lightweight.
- The IsoFlow seat tube optimises the frame's aerodynamics and provides extra comfort on long rides.
- Trek's revolutionary Full System Foil aerodynamic tube shapes optimise airflow around the entire frame, providing measurable speed improvements on flat roads.
- Internal cable routing at the headset makes the frame look super sleek and tidy.
- The UDH hanger interface allows for mounting of SRAM direct-mount derailleurs - this way, a 1x13 setup is no problem at all!
- The sporty geometry may be less comfortable for recreational cyclists - this frame is for the real racers!

The Trek Madone SL Gen 8 road bike frame combines aerodynamic performance with modern engineering in a lightweight construction designed for speed and efficiency. Made of carbon, it delivers instant power transfer and a dynamic ride on a variety of roads. From climbing challenging hills to racing on flat, wide open roads, this frame can handle everything.
Frame and geometry
The 500 Series OCLV Carbon frame with Full System Foil tube shapes is designed for optimal aerodynamics and efficiency. The IsoFlow seat tube improves aerodynamics and comfort by better absorbing shocks from uneven road surfaces. The integrated RCS headset system and internal cable routing contribute to the frame's sleek appearance and reduce drag, resulting in smooth performance on fast rides. This construction provides a perfect balance between a stiff frame, low weight, and flexibility where needed. Thus, every pedal stroke is instantly and efficiently converted into pure speed. Thanks to the matching fork, the Madone's handling is particularly sharp and responsive, and no descent will be too long!
IsoFlow technology
Like the previous Madone version, this Madone Gen 8 frame uses Trek's well-known IsoFlow technology. Located in the seat tube, this technology offers as much as 80% more vertical flexibility than before. As a result, road vibration is absorbed extremely well, allowing you to cycle for longer without sacrificing efficiency or aerodynamics. Plus, this clever technology does not affect the frame's racing capacities at all. It is UCI-approved, so you are allowed to participate in races with it. With its aggressive geometry, the Madone is extremely suitable for this and it is no surprise that a pro team like Lidl-Trek has already has many successes with this frame!
Specifications
The frame comes with a bag full of parts that you will need when building your bike. These parts include the internal cable routers, thru-axles and battery holder for electronic shifting. The frame uses a T47 bottom bracket for creak-free and super stiff power transfer. The total weight of frame and fork is only 1417 grams, which is very light for an aerodynamic frame such as a Madone. The frame has a Universal Derailleur Hanger (UDH) interface to ensure compatibility with all types of derailleurs. So, if you are keen to use a 1x13 SRAM setup, you can certainly do so! The included headset is made to fit seamlessly with Bontrager RCS stems.
